Siemon Stables is a full service facility located in southwestern Ohio, specializing in the training, showing, breeding and marketing of Arabian, Half Arabian and National Show horses.  First established in 1968 by Chuck and LuAnn Siemon under the name of Whispering Winds Arabians, it later became known as Siemon Stables  when their oldest son Matthew came into the business. Matt with his incredible gift of being able to inspire a horse in the ring added a whole new dimension to the business. Coming from a long line of horsemen, with Chuck's parents being avid Saddlebred showmen and LuAnn's family raising Arabians it was not surprising that Matt chose to follow in his father's footsteps. Then  some years later Luke, their youngest son joined the team.  Says Chuck, "Luke has the ability to break a young horse faster and safer then anyone I have ever seen.  He is truly gifted, and I am so thankful for what he brings to our team.  Together Matt, Luke and myself work as a team to develop each horse to its fullest potential. We firmly believe in the importance of  integrity in business as well as matching the horse to the ability of the rider. It is something that I feel deeply about and have  stressed from the very beginning.  In today's show world there are many great horses as well as many experienced amateurs.  Every rider has to begin somewhere and for the less accomplished or very young rider having a good experience with a horse is critical for success.
Over the years the great horses that we have been privileged to work with, show and care for, along with the many great friendships with clients, peers and fellow horse lovers has made this business so rewarding. For 50 years I have been privileged to be on this journey
with my family, doing something that I still love doing every single day.  It has never gotten old to me to walk out in the barn first thing in the morning and hear all those wonderful greetings from a barn full of horses.  It is my life, my joy and such an honor to have shared this with so many people I love. I have been blessed!"

"One of the most rewarding elements of a show barn is watching the amateur riders dedicate themselves to improving in their horsemanship skills year after year.  Having worked with many of our amateur riders for years, we are privileged to watch the improvement that comes from hard work and their becoming one with their horse. Just to be there when it all comes together and they have that special ride and see the joy on their faces is worth the hard work.  We are very proud of our adult amateurs."
"Some may think I am a little bit crazy at times, (my wife and my grandchildren say I am!)  but for me it has always been important to find joy in life, knowing that each day is a gift from God and that for me enjoying the people and animals in my life is what is truly important.  Though I don't show a lot anymore, the Equitation Challenge to benefit our youth at the 2015 Region 14 show was a blast!"
Maybe we horse trainers take ourselves too seriously!
Have Fun!

"I love kids...they are the future of the world as well as the future of our breed.  We have been blessed to have many wonderful young people come through our barn over the past 50 years.  Some showed very little but loved their horses just as deeply as the child who was striving to become the best they could be in the ring.   For most it was truly a family affair.  Many have gone on to have successful show careers in the adult Amateur division and some have become professional horsemen themselves. All have benefited by their early years being spent with these wonderful horses and their friends.
But most of all our family is grateful to have been part of their lives."
